Tswaing means "Place of salt" in Setswana. It is a 2000 ha area. The main features of Tswaing are a 220 000-year-old meteorite impact crater (100m deep and 1.3km across); a wetland area; a variety of ecosystems; and the remains of a factory that produced soda ash and salt. |

Our walk around the crater has lasted nearly 3 hours, about 7 km, the slope is steep, and we take a wrong way when we were upstairs. Suddenly, the descent to the crater was more difficult than expected, but we survived, despite some falls and scratches.
It was a very good day, and I advise you to come to discover this crater.
